This week marks 12 years since I started working for Kerry and Barry here at Kelk Photography.
(I’m only slightly younger than the business its self which was established in 1982.)
My first day was on my birthday!
12 years of happy employment has ended up being the best gift ever!

To celebrate before I head away on maternity leave (round two) I’ve posted below a few photos I’ve taken over the past couple of years.
Some photos are from weddings and other client work, others are from personal projects and of course a few of my daughter Ada.

I’ll be around till mid next week, then will be away to soon be enjoying those wonderful newborn cuddles.

Sarah and Blake were married on a hot sunny day in Lawrence.
Sarah’s family is from Lawrence and it was so lovely to get the whole town involved in their special day.

There were horses and carts, beautiful picnic baskets, a wee flower girl riding a horse down the aisle, lots of laughs and love at this wedding.
Thank you so much for asking me to capture all the special moments, I had a blast.

I first photographed Sarah and Blake during their engagement shoot in August last year.

We had a lovely portrait session in the studio last week.
Heinke and Peter needed some portraits for a book they have been working on for the past few years.
It sounds like it has been a labour of love, I’m so happy for you that your project will soon be complete!

It’s always lovely to photograph a couple before their wedding day. It is a great chance to get to know them a little better before you capture their big day.
I first photographed Naomi and Cameron during autumn at the Dunedin Botanic Gardens.

Naomi and Cameron were married at Larnach Castle. It was a beautiful overcast day (a favourite for photographers). We could use any location at the castle inside and out. I always love the opportunity to photograph inside the castle, there are lovely layers and pockets of light to play with.

I entered an image from Naomi and Cameron’s wedding day into the EPSON NZIPP Iris awards this year and it received a silver award.

Thank you for having me  capture your wedding day, it was a total pleasure.

I had a wonderful time photographing Sarah and Blake.
They decided to have some photos at Tomahawk beach, in the middle of winter for their engagement shoot.

We had a stunning morning once we had tackled the steep sand dunes.
The sun was out and low which made for some beautiful sun flare.

I’m so looking forward to photographing your wedding in Lawrence in November.
