Autumn is such a pretty time of year here in Dunedin, so many beautiful colours all over the city.
The leaves have faded and are dropping from the trees, winter is starting to settle in.

Here’s a lovely autumn portrait session of Catherine and John, who we photographed at the Dunedin Botanic Gardens.

Outdoor locations are still looking gorgeous so it’s not too late to book in for a lovely family portrait.

This was my second trip out to Grandview Gardens this wedding season with Mel and Jared’s  Wedding.

We had an absolutely gorgeous day with only a little breeze and a few tiny rain showers to keep things interesting for the wedding photos.
I just loved Mel’s dress and the boys all in blue and grey, they all looked fabulous.

The forest setting was perfect for the ceremony and offered such pretty light for photos.

There were certainly plenty of laughs at the reception with some of the funniest speeches I’ve ever heard!

Megan and Dave were married recently among the beautiful gardens at Glenfalloch.

The day was overcast and cool but the light was gorgeous.

Thanks for the privilege of being part of your day.

Dave and the boys were well on schedule, and ready to go.

…… and she was perfect – even a special sprinkle of flowers for Dad’s shoes

the woodland gardens have beautiful pockets of light

the wharf at Glenfalloch is different every time we work there –

some very kind fishermen moved off so we could use the space – thanks folks

Megan’s family home was just across the harbour

Earlier this year I had the honor of photographing Sally and Deans wedding at the Orokonui Ecosanctuary.

This was the first opportunity to photograph at this location. I was so looking forward to it and even scouted out the location the day before.
With bright sun and beautiful blue skies, I picked out some lovely spots for photos.

With Dunedin’s weather being the way it is we ended up with the most magical, misty, foggy day that laughed in the face of all my preparation !

It was amazing.

Thanks Sally and Dean for having me to capture your wedding day.

It started out a little bit cloudy with little drops of rain at First Church and ended with beaming sunshine through the trees at Larnach Castle.
I do love a castle wedding.

Oh my…….. that gorgeous dress!

Hope you enjoy having a look through Sarah and Brent’s wedding.

Sarah’s dress was phenomenal, so much beautiful fabric! She was super organised though and had a smaller skirt to change into for the reception. No room for Brent in the back, he had to take the front seat.Just a few visitors to the castle when the wedding party arrived, (two cruise ships visiting Dunedin)Brent may have taken the dip a little too far for Sarah.
He was the perfect gentleman though (after a bit of a laugh) he helped his Bride to her feet. The Ball room was looking so gorgeous! Glittery and gold.As I was heading out the door the sun finally decided to come out and I couldn’t resist one more quick shot for the day.
